To make loose leaf black tea, start by boiling spring or filtered water. Once the water reaches a boil, pour it into a teapot or a heatproof container. Add one teaspoon of loose leaf black tea per cup of water into a tea infuser or directly into the teapot. Set an audible time (so important) and let the tea steep for 3-5 minutes. Most black teas are a 3 minute steep time depending on your preference for strength. After steeping, remove the tea leaves or infuser and pour the tea into cups. You can enjoy it as is or add milk, sugar, or lemon according to your taste.
