As I write this, I still say to myself to remember to set an audible timer. This is one of the biggest mistakes people make and I've made it. I'm sure you've heard me tell you and others at the markets, "Don't forget to set an audible time!". Tea has a tendency to get bitter when it has sat longer than the recommended time and I want you to have the best tasting tea possible. Below are some general guidelines. Each one of our bags of tea has the instructions on the back.
Remember that these are general guidelines, and you may need to adjust the steeping time and temperature depending on the specific type of tea and your personal taste preferences.
Straining your tea is up to and how fancy you want to get. My favorite is a hand strainer but a tea ball always works in a bit. There is no wrong or right way for you to make tea for yourself. Make it so it inclusive to you. Comfortable. Tea should be comfortable when you're making it. You should be able to be present and enjoy the aroma's and quietness of making your tea personal to you. A few minutes of bliss first thing in the morning goes a long way in making the rest of your day enjoyable. Make it be about you.

- Black Tea: Bring water to a rolling boil, and pour it over the loose leaf tea in a teapot or mug. Steep for 3-5 minutes. Strain out the leaves before serving.
- Green Tea: Heat water to 175°F-180°F and pour it over the loose leaf tea. Steep for 3 minutes. Strain out the leaves before serving.

- White Tea: Heat water to 175°F and pour it over the loose leaf tea. Steep for 3 minutes. Strain out the leaves before serving.

- Oolong Tea: Heat water to 195°F and pour it over the loose leaf tea. Steep for 3-5 minutes. Strain out the leaves before serving.

- Herbal Tea: Bring water to a rolling boil, and pour it over the herbal tea blend. Steep for 5-7 minutes, or until the desired strength is reached. Strain out the leaves before serving.
